Animal Husbandry Classes (as an Elective)

Animal Husbandry:

Animal husbandry is the science of farming of animal livestock. ... Animal husbandry is the branch of agriculture and organic farming concerned with the management, raise and care of farm animals by humans. It is initiated with cattle farming livestock such as cows, goats, buffalo, sheep, etc.

We offer Private 1/2 hour Animal Husbandry classes to fit your Child's schedule and needs. Each class is taught on location at the farm with hands-on and visual instructional learning. Classes include interaction with various farm animals and are taught by a trained instructor.

Each class is four weeks long with one class a week for a 1/2 hour duration. Students can choose the farm animal he or she would like to learn about for the four-week class. Animals include chickens, ducks, rabbits, horses, ponies, and goats (pig is seasonal). Homework assignments can be given per the age and the need of the student.

Classes are recommended for 7-18 years of age.

Cost of Class is $45.00 per session (or $180 for the complete 4-week course)

These classes can serve as an Elective. This is a fun alternative to classroom learning. (Please check with your child's homeschool program for specific regulations and restrictions)
